25BMI Overview

Welcome to 25BMI

Health Body – Happy Life…. that’s our maxim, and it always has been.

25BMI is here to help you achieve your goals relating to changes in your current lifestyle.

25BMI is an educational-focused, lifestyle-intervention program, focused on the health benefits of weight loss.

25BMI can also help you manage your weight in the long run.

The new 25BMI Wegovy / Zepbound Lifestyle Intervention Program has been developed by 25BMI to teach patients how to follow a reduced-calorie diet, and increase their physical activity (as recommended by the manufactureres), when taking the new weight loss drugs Wegogy or Zepbound  or weight loss (if aprropriate) – under the recommendation and supervision of your G.P. – or other medical professional.

No matter which course of treatment you, and your doctor, decide upon – weight managment is a lifetime commitment.

25BMI is not a diet. 25BMI is not a quick fix. 25BMI is an educational-focused, lifestyle-change program focused on reducing body weight.

We recommend you:

  1. Sign-up for the 25BMI Program.
  2. Consult with your G.P. before even considering taking the new weight loss drugs – to see if they might be appropriate for your treatment.
  3. Learn the basics of weight management.
  4. Make lifestyle changes.
  5. Lose weight until you get to 25BMI.
  6. Join the 25BMI Gold Club.
  7. Maintain your healthy weight at 25BMI going forward.

If you succeed, you will enjoy all the benefits of being your healthy weight:

  1. A lower risk of heart disease and diabetes.
  2. You will fit into your old clothes.
  3. You will look and feel much better about yourself.
  4. You will have increased personal confidence.
  5. You will be invited to join the 25BMI Gold Club.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a value derived from the mass (weight) and height of a person. The BMI is defined as the body mass divided by the square of the body height, and is universally expressed in units of kg/m2, resulting from mass in kilograms and height in meters.

BMI may be determined using a table or chart which displays BMI as a function of mass and height using contour lines or colours for different BMI categories, and which may use other units of measurement (converted to metric units for the calculation).

BMI is a convenient rule of thumb used to broadly categorize a person as underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese based on tissue mass (muscle, fat, and bone) and height.

Commonly accepted BMI ranges are underweight (under 18.5 kg/m2), normal weight (18.5 to 25), overweight (25 to 30), and obese (over 30).

25BMI is your BMI at your maximum correct (healthy) weight. That is why it is important.

People have many good reasons for wanting to lose weight. No one chooses to be overweight. Weight gain is something that just seems to happen to people over the years.

But being our correct body weight:

(a)   Improves our confidence and self-esteem,

(b)   Give us higher energy levels to live an active life

(c)   Makes us look healthier and more attractive to other people.

(d)   Allows us to fit into our clothes.

But the big issue is your health.

The health consequences of being over-weight range from a number of not-fatal complaints that impact the quality of life – such as respiratory difficulties, muscle-skeletal problems, skin problems and infertility – to complaints that increase the risk of premature death

including Type 2 diabetes, cancers, cardiovascular problems (hypertension, stroke and coronary heart (disease).

Being over-weight is the single largest cause of preventable (and premature) death in the world. In other words, if you are over-weight you will probably suffer significant health related issues which were otherwise avoidable.

None of these sound important or relevant until they actually happen to you. Your health is very, very important – and being a healthy weight is the best way you can help yourself live a long and healthy life.

There are literally thousands of online services, smart phone apps, meal-replacement plans, books, diets, dieticians, personal trainers and doctors – all available to help you – if you want to make positive changes to your life and lose weight.

25BMI is one of these services.

We think we have developed a better program as:

  1. Our approach is different. We believe the first issue is an educational one. Most adults were never taught in school, or college, the basic principles of human nutrition. Once you know these facts – making changes to your lifestyle is easier – as you have the knowledge to understand why you are doing what you are in fact doing.
  2. Our program is based upon the latest academic research.
  3. We have implemented the latest technology to help you along your way.
  4. We strive to make the process as fun and engaging as possible – but it remains a challenge.
  5. We are a group of committed individuals – not financial investors.
  6. We are doing this because we believe in it.
  7. We want to help every member succeed – one member at a time.

There is no secret to losing weight – you just have to learn what to do and do it.

Our approach is as follows:

  1. Help you to set your weight loss goal.
  2. Teach you the basics of food and energy management.
  3. Help you get prepared to start.
  4. Help you to stay focused and complete the program.
  5. Monitor your progress and encourage you along the way.

You will notice from the above list, somethings are our responsibility – and some are yours.

We will strive to help you – but ultimately there is only one person who can actually make this happen – and that is you.
